The Best Reason to Get Behind Ron Paul. Abolishing The Fed.
I came to know and follow Dr. Paul on this very issue. When I learned that the Federal Reserve was a privately owned and operated bank with severely limited oversight from our Congress, I was shocked. Initially, I was shocked that it was true, then I couldnt stop wondering why this isn’t focused on more in our teaching of American History. This led me inevitably to the issue that sits equal to abolishing the Fed in Dr. Pauls campaign, abolishing the Dept. of Education. More on that later.

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Today, the Ron Paul presidential campaign calls on the Republican Party of Louisiana to count all the ballots submitted in the state’s January 22 caucus.
“The failure of the Louisiana GOP to properly determine who was and wasn’t eligible to vote threw this entire process into disarray,” said Ron Paul campaign manager Lew Moore. “The party needs to correct this mistake by counting all the votes immediately, and releasing the results.”
Due to mistakes by the Louisiana GOP, hundreds of voters were forced to file provisional ballots, including nearly 500 that could change the outcome of the election. According to party officials, caucus locations relied on a voter list from November 1, 2007 despite the fact that under caucus rules, voters must have registered Republican by November 30, 2007. The Louisiana Secretary of State reports that 2,709 Louisiana residents registered as Republican between November 1, 2007 and November 30, 2007.
In multiple instances, state-certified Ron Paul delegates that were on the ballot were forced to file a provisional ballot despite the fact they were pre-approved as delegates.
The Louisiana State GOP also changed the rules at the last minute to allow other candidates to file more delegates. At the time of the original January 10 deadline, Ron Paul had the largest number of delegates pledged to him. The party then changed the rules to give other candidates until January 12 to file more delegates.

This post will be updated throughout the day. Diebold is back at it and even Obama’s people are pissed.
Said the Olbermanns and Russerts per the noticeable fraud that helped Hillary overcome a huge deficit (12%) over Obama;
“Extraordinary political upset”says Tim Russert. “Titanic upset” says Keith Olbermann.”
More to come on this. In the meantime read this:
“I’m not sure why Obama would have conceded so soon, given the virtually inexplicable turn of events in New Hampshire tonight. “

Ron Paul Votes Not Counted In New Hampshire District
UPDATE: 10:22 AM CST
“A Highschool student…. could figure it out (how to hack the voting machines)… in two days time”
So, many of you may have heard about this “Ron Paul says Martin Luther King is a Gay Pedophile” B.S…. I mean, it makes me laugh to even type it. Dr. Paul’s response to this whole thing is listed here. You’ll notice he doesn’t even give it any energy which is what you have to have to do when responding to this type of tactic, just ignore it and treat it like the guerrilla hit piece that it is.
Ironically, I find this to be very encouraging. I think most people see through these tactics. Now that we have had close to 50 years of aggressive manipulative politics, people dismiss such grand claims as these as typical mudslinging and twisting (or in this case, just making stuff up!) of the truth. Furthermore the fact that they did this the day before the primary means they’re scared of what Dr. Paul can do. They see it as a threat, because it is.

Ron Paul Statement on The New Republic Article Regarding Old Newsletters — Ron Paul 2008
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – In response to an article published by The New Republic, Ron Paul issued the following statement:
“The quotations in The New Republic article are not mine and do not represent what I believe or have ever believed. I have never uttered such words and denounce such small-minded thoughts.
“In fact, I have always agreed with Martin Luther King, Jr. that we should only be concerned with the content of a person’s character, not the color of their skin. As I stated on the floor of the U.S. House on April 20, 1999: ‘I rise in great respect for the courage and high ideals of Rosa Parks who stood steadfastly for the rights of individuals against unjust laws and oppressive governmental policies.’
“This story is old news and has been rehashed for over a decade. It’s once again being resurrected for obvious political reasons on the day of the New Hampshire primary.
“When I was out of Congress and practicing medicine full-time, a newsletter was published under my name that I did not edit. Several writers contributed to the product. For over a decade, I have publicly taken moral responsibility for not paying closer attention to what went out under my name.”
So the CEO of Overstock.com wrote this letter to FOX and posted at the foot of their website during the debates. Unbelievable! It’s like Corporate warfare over the Republic. mmm, I might even start shopping on this site now

Dear Customer,
Because Overstock advertises on Fox channels, Overstock has been receiving calls and email messages about Fox News decision to exclude Dr. Ron Paul from the upcoming January 6 forum in New Hampshire, a decision that seems especially rank given the fact that in yesterdays Iowa Caucus Dr. Paul out-polled Mayor Giuliani by a factor of 2.5:1. I always enjoy hearing from our customers, particularly those who display political commitment of any flavor, and I thank them for their calls and emails.
In October Dr. Paul came to Utah, and he and I visited for an hour in my office. After that meeting, I gave him the largest donation I could under federal law: it is rare to meet a politician who understands the Constitution, and rarer still to meet one who thinks it binds the government meaningfully (I would give Dr. Paul more were there not now a federal blackout on free speech known as “McCain-Feingold”). In a television interview last week I stated that, while for the first time in my life I felt there are several candidates qualified to be president, my #1 choice would be Dr. Paul.
That said, I believe that pulling Overstocks advertising from Fox would represent an inappropriate conflation of my personal politics with my corporate responsibilities: thus, fellow supporters of Dr. Paul, my answer to you is, “no.” However, I have contacted Fox and told them that, as a major advertiser, I believe it is unconscionable of them to exclude Dr. Paul from participating in this forum on January 6, thus denying our polity the opportunity to make an informed choice.
Respectfully,
Patrick M. Byrne, Ph.D.
CEO, Overstock.com

So, Dr. Paul flew across the country for one night to be on the Tonight Show. I think it was well worth the trip despite his duties in New Hampshire. Leno gives Dr. Paul plenty of air time and allows him to actually defend the attacks on him as some sort of extremist isolationist because of his views on the war (that we haven’t declared yet), and why 9/11 really happened. You can hear the audience’s enthusiastic support when Dr. Paul speaks. The mainstream media likes to act as if Dr. Paul is some fringe element, but if Leno’s audience’s reaction to his comments are any indication, the country may be more awake than we typically give them credit for. This is encouraging.
Fact: FOX News is a private company that is free hold a debate and exclude anyone they want.
Fact: Dr. Paul polls at 7-9% in NH, NOT 4% as FOX claims their reason for excluding them from the debate.
So if the reason is that his polling numbers aren’t high enough, which is a verifiable lie, then why go such great lengths to make him and his supporters look like nutbags. I know the answer, do you?
I was temporarily frozen in disbelief while watching this clip from FOX explaining why they have eliminated him from the debate. FOX actually airs this as “news.” I challenge anyone, even my friends and family who are loyal Fox News watchers to watch this clip and still claim that there is not a conspiratorial opposition to Dr. Paul’s success.
Listening to the correspondent talk, it’s like she (or whomever tells her what to say) wrote out a list of the most incendiary and over-the-top phrases to align Dr. Paul and his supporters with insanity. It is absolutely unbelievable and infuriating.
Has Fox News Excluded Ron Paul? — Ron Paul 2008
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – According to the New Hampshire State Republican Party and an Associated Press report, Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul will be excluded from an upcoming forum of Republican candidates to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2008.
“Given Ron Paul’s support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “Dr. Paul has consistently polled higher in New Hampshire than some of the other candidates who have been invited.”
Snyder continued, “Paul supporters should know that we are continuing to make inquiries with Fox News as to why they have apparently excluded Dr. Paul from this event.”
